Robert Lisman is a seasoned filmmaker and creative professional with over 20 years of experience in content marketing, identity branding, advertising, video production, and broadcasting. Born and raised in Miami, Robert has been profoundly influenced by the city’s rich cultural diversity and dynamic creative scene. His storytelling is shaped not only by the vibrant mix of voices and perspectives in South Florida but also by the many cultures he has experienced through his travels and work around the world. These global influences have deepened his ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate across different audiences and backgrounds.
His journey in filmmaking began in high school, where he shot and edited a series of short films that won numerous awards at student film festivals. This early success set the foundation for a career dedicated to visual storytelling, leading him to produce and edit various music videos that helped emerging and established artists craft compelling narratives through visuals.
Robert’s passion for impactful storytelling has extended to documentary filmmaking, where he has directed and produced films tackling international issues. His work has explored human rights, social justice, and political change. Currently, Robert is in production on a documentary about Roly Fernandez, a legendary figure in Miami’s custom car scene. The film dives into Fernandez’s life and work, uncovering the intricate world of custom car culture while also exploring the deeper truths behind his journey.
In his recent role as Creative Director at Ross Video, Robert led a team of six creatives, fostering a collaborative environment that produced innovative and engaging marketing materials. His notable achievements include contributing to a comprehensive company-wide rebranding initiative, orchestrating high-profile product launches and keynote events, content creation, and project management.
Prior to Ross Video, Robert served as the Director of Marketing at Primestream. During his tenure, he was part of a team honored with an Emmy Award for cloud-enabled remote editing and project management.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Robert enjoys cooking, playing ice hockey, and spending quality time with his wife and two children. Whether behind the camera or in the editing suite, Robert continues to push creative boundaries, crafting stories that entertain, inform, and inspire.
